My name is Varina and I am the Founder of Pleasure Activist, LLC. I've been a Registered Nurse & Nurse Educator for decades, as well as a published author. In my personal life, I have overcome multiple complex traumas over time. Since 2024, I've had multiple life changing experiences. These included transformational and physical healing in Bali, Indonesia... learning Somatics & Embodiment through Coaching... and work with a Shamanic Practitioner and a Shamanic Apprenticeship. I'm in the process of completing certifications for Sexology and an International Integrated Sex Coaching & Education program. Pleasure in all areas of life is an important and often overlooked Nervous System Resource. Everyone is deserving of Happiness - We are not our past or our trauma. Varina's Journey
Bali
In 2024, Varina traveled to Bali, Indonesia for a transformational experience that sparked profound healing in all aspects of her life - mental, emotional, physical and spiritual. Immersed in the island's rich spiritual culture and vortexes, she underwent deep somatic release work and energetic healing — including a Kundalini healing with her Holy Man, Gede. These experiences reshaped Varina's relationship with herself and opened the door to expand her life's calling to help others. After returning home, life led to work with a Shaman and enrollment in a coaching certification class.

Through intensive training in Somatics & Embodiment Coaching, Varina learned to listen to the body as a source of wisdom. This scientifically based work — rooted in nervous system regulation, somatic inquiry, and trauma-informed practice — forms the foundation of every session and all teaching she offers.

A comprehensive Shamanic Apprenticeship deepened Varina's understanding of energy, ritual, and the sacred dimensions of life and healing. Drawing on various indigenous traditions, she weaves shamanic principles into her holistic approach — honoring the whole person: body, mind, and spirit.

Pleasure Activist blends various techniques, including holding space for others to learn and heal, as well as teaching and exploring somatics. Optional additions include sexual education & coaching, as well as shamanic practices. Services are offered in person or online. Note: Shamanic Services & Workshops are open to anyone. Coaching is offered for women & vulva owners only.
One-Off Session
A one-off coaching session for women and vulva owners to address specific somatic enquiries and/or distinct sexual topics.
Coaching is somatically based and trauma informed. A questionnaire will be sent when a session is booked to identify priorities to be addressed. A summary will be sent afterwards, so clients are able to be fully present during the session.
